What is science? What are major disciplines of science?
Ans: Science :The search of man for collecting knowledge and integrating it, is called science.
Significance: With the help of this knowledge we get informations about our environment and ourselves. The we try to arrange this gathered informations and explain this gathered data man has been investigating his environment since the beginning of his creation. He had succeeded to collect a lot of informations about Nature. All this has become possible through knowledge of science that man is knowing the secrets of Nature.
Major Disciplines Of Science: The scientific knowledge is so vast thst no one can understand and mster if without classifying it into different disciplines. Major disciplines of science are as Follows:
Chemistry Geology
Physics Astronomy
Biology (Zoology, Botany)
Interrelation of Different Disciplines of Science: There are no clean-cut boundaries of different disciplines of science. Scientists have divided the knowledge into different divisions for their convenience. As universe is an integrated unit so its knowledge should also be an integrated unit. Relationship or integration of different disciplines of science is shwon below:

Ans: Chemistry :The branch of science witch deals with the study of composition and properties of metter changes in metter and the laws or the principles witch govern these changes is called chemistry.
Purpose of classification: chemistry is divided into different sub-division for the convenience of the study. No one can understand and master the whole knowledge of chemistry. Thus knowledge of chemistry is divided into different sub-division so that one can specialize in any one field. This facilitates the students to get higher education and to do research work.
